Courage Prayer - Mother Teresa

There is a light that beckons you forward and it comes from within you.
Embrace it.
Don't try to hide in the shadow of fear it casts behind you.
For if you are committed to finding the courage to live with an open heart.
There is no greater way to love others, or to love yourself, than to fulfill your unique potential,
To express your unique greatness and to become the unique leader you have it within you to become.
Finding the courage to be a leader and touch the lives of others in ways that only you can do, is the most profound act of love, and service, and significance.
Dare to want more from your life and to dig deeper into yourself to experience its mystery, its richness, and its sacredness more fully.
For when you do so you will see with greater clarity just how universal we all are.
And sensing that we are all part of a bigger whole, you will come to know, perhaps for the first time, that your life is truly holy, and that it is not just your responsibility to honor the sacred within you, but your obligation.
This is the truth that speaks from my heart.
I invite you to open yours to receive it.
"Give the world the best you have, and it may never be enough;Give the world the best you've got anyway."

Act like the person you want to become

I'm gonna share with you one of Vic Johnson's eMeditation where he talks about changing who you are in order to change your life.
"People do not attract that which they want, but that which they are." - As A Man Thinketh
To put it another way: When you stop working on what it is you're trying to get, and start working on YOU, only then will you get what it is you want.It really is very basic when you think about it.
Jim Rohn says, "To attract attractive people, you must be attractive. To attract powerful people, you must be powerful. To attract committed people, you must be committed. Instead of going to work on them, you go to work on yourself. If you become, you can attract."
There are so many people who work very hard and diligently and sacrifice greatly in an effort to create wealth. But they haven't changed who they are, and until they begin to think and act like wealthy people they'll never attract the wealth they seek. Wealthy people don't think and act the way they do because they have wealth. They have wealth because they think and act that way.
How many people are on a diet today who don't stand a chance of losing (and keeping off) any weight because they're still the same person who gained all that weight to start with. Let me repeat again, so you'll grasp how important this is: Slim people don't think and act the way they do because they're slim. They're slim because they think and act that way.To get what you want, you change who you are, and you change who you are by simply changing the way you think and act.
And one technique for doing that which is promoted by a lot of wise teachers is to "act as if." If you "act as if" you're slim long enough, then one day you will attract slimness even though you may be 100 pounds overweight today. If you act as if you're wealthy long enough, then one day you will attract all the wealth you can imagine even though you may this moment be destitute and homeless.
Bob Proctor says, "Act like the person you want to become. For as Goethe, the German philosopher, once wrote, 'Before you can do something, you first must be something.'"
And that's worth thinking about.

Change your life

Bob Proctor talks about changing your life in a way that is worth sharing. He said that you can earn money at anything. The key to a life of prosperity is not that you settle for the “safe” thing that will bring in the money. The key is to turn and do what you really love. Fall in love with an idea. What would you do in order to move into a new life … in order to obtain your dream … in order to do every day what you love to do?
The journey begins with a conscious awareness. We are programmed to act, think and behave in a certain way. If you want to change your results, you need to change your mind and think in a different way.
Personlly, I think this is powerful.

The view of a circumstance

It's interesting how Vic Johnson talks about circumstances in his eMeditation program.

"Your difficulty is not contained, primarily, in the situation which gave rise to it, but in the mental state with which you regard that situation and which you bring to bear upon it." - Byways of Blessedness
It is one of the most difficult lessons to accept, understand and learn. Circumstances are not negative or positive, circumstances are neutral. It is our thinking, our mental state, our perspective, that makes a circumstance positive or negative.
Bob Proctor does some of the best teaching on this subject, using a universal law he refers to as the Law of Polarity.
"Everything in the universe has its opposite. There would be no inside to a room without an outside. You have a right and left side to your body, a front and a back. Every up has a down and every down has an up. The Law of Polarity not only states that everything has an opposite -- it is equal and opposite. If it was three feet from the floor up to the table, it would be three feet from the table down to the floor. If it is 150 miles from Manchester to London, by law it must be 150 miles from London to Manchester; it could not be any other way."
If something you considered bad happens in your life, there has to be something good about it. If it was only a little bad, when you mentally work your way around to the other side, you will find it will only be a little good." Using Bob's example, when I find myself in trying circumstances I put the circumstance in the middle of a circle. I then mentally walk around the circumstance until I'm on the other side. Then I let my mind go to work examining things from that perspective. And I'm never disappointed at what I find.
During a tele-seminar I conducted with Randy Gage, he used a very good example of this. While the flat tire you have seems to be a negative circumstance to you, it's a very positive circumstance for your local tire dealer. Looking even further it's possible that while changing the tire the dealer discovers a much more serious problem that would have cost you a large sum of money if discovered later.
So it's even more clear from Bob's teaching that every circumstance can be viewed two ways. It's the way we view a circumstance that determines it's impact on our thinking and mental state. And we know from James Allen's teaching that that determines the quality of life that we live. No matter how bad the circumstance appears to be, taking another look, from another perspective, reveals to us the good. Or, as Napoleon Hill, author of the classic Think and Grow Rich, wrote, "Every adversity, every failure and every heartache carries with it the seed of an equivalent or a greater benefit."
And that's worth thinking about.
